Boroondara Preschool is located in a quiet and peaceful setting with a large landscaped outdoor environment that includes a sensory garden, shaded sandpits, water pump and rock garden, amphitheater, ample grassed areas, abundant strawberry patch, vegetable garden, Tee-Pee, wooden hut, adaptable climbing equipment and shaded veranda.
Our spacious indoor area is filled with natural light and offers a wide variety of stimulating equipment and flexible space for both group and individual play.
Play based learning is the focal point of our program which is flexible and responsive to a wide variety of children's interests and levels of development. It also provides a balance between child initiated and educator supported experiences. The children are viewed as confident and capable learners who are to be actively involved in their own learning. Visitors, incursions and excursions supplement the program allowing children hands on experiences.

We are really happy with the kinder program in general! The teachers efforts and work in planning the days and structuring the program is much appreciated. One thing that really stands out is getting the children ready for school which can be seen throughout all areas of the program (e.g. gross motor skill practices, alphabet song, visiting the school...) Cultural diversity and awareness is impressive (Themes and Cultural events), excellent structure - child prefers kinder a lot more than daycare, staff always happy, smiling , inviting, individual folders are impressive, very much appreciate the work that has gone into them - thanks, cleanliness is impressive given number of children and activities, all children seem happy and "at home"
